Together we can serve communities across Canada by greening school grounds and community spaces from coast to coast.

We’ll connect local farmers to city folks and provide better access to green space for new Canadians. We’ll give high-risk youth opportunities to build skills in the green economy and empower urban gardeners contribute to a greener city. Your support will make a difference on the ground—and in the soil!

We have 3 focuses:

School ground greening: Toyota Evergreen Learning Grounds brings teachers, students and community members together to transform barren school grounds into healthy, safe and creative outdoor learning environments

Public space greening: Common Grounds connects with community organizations, local volunteers, urban and parks planners and developers to restore, design, plant and steward public open spaces

The transformation of Evergreen Brick Works: Opened in September 2010, Evergreen Brick Works is a community environmental centre that inspires and equips visitors to live, work and play more sustainably. Evergreen has transformed the former Don Valley Brick Works from deteriorating heritage buildings into an international showcase for urban sustainability that is open year-round

As a national charity, we know how important it is to our supporters that we spend their money wisely. That’s why we work hard to minimize our administrative costs. Indeed, over the past five years, Evergreen has consistently kept overhead at under 15 percent of our total budget.
