The Kit, containing a handful of bean seeds that are at risk of extinction, also provides lesson plans, the Bean Keeper story and song. Students ranging from grades K to 12 learn about biodiversity by growing, harvesting and contributing essential seeds to the Seeds of Diversity Seed Bank.

Evergreen provides expertise for planning and design, tools, plants, seeds and stewardship to ensure these gardens–and gardeners–flourish.

Support a teen
Your symbolic gift of $100 enables a group of 36 youth ranging from 13 to 17 years old to attend an afterschool Healthy Choices workshop. Through this innovative program your support gives youth access to a positive, safe place, and learning skills that they can take back home and to their community including: food growing skills, knowledge of the fundamentals of a healthy diet, and career-building skills.

Change a life
Your gift of $250 symbolically sends a deserving inner-city child in Toronto to Green City Adventure Camp for five days at Evergreen Brick Works. Your support will take this camper on a journey into the ravines, following the tracks of animals and looking for their homes, learning about the emerging plants, playing in creeks, building forts, and playing games in the forest—the time-honoured traditions of childhood.
